For a positioning sheeter, a useful acceptance test starts with the paper or board you actually convert, the required sheet dimensions and the conditions under which those dimensions must be achieved. A quoted speed or an isolated sample does not describe the complete production result. Agree the test material, sampling method and acceptance limits with the supplier before a demonstration.
Yueda lists the YD1300 and YD1400 shaftless positioning sheeters for packaging paper and board. Their published model comparison covers roll width, sheet length, stacking height and installation dimensions. Use the current specification sheet and the proposed configuration to confirm suitability for your job.
In this product context, shaftless refers to roll handling. It should not be interpreted as a claim that the entire machine has no mechanical shafts or uses a particular servo-drive architecture. Ask for the unwind arrangement, compatible roll cores, loading requirements and the actual control configuration in the quotation. Those details are separate from the cutting accuracy acceptance criteria.
Identify the paper or board grade, grammage, coating and condition.
State roll width, core size, diameter and weight, together with the required finished sheet size.
Explain whether the job is fixed-length sheeting or requires positioning relative to printed marks.
Provide the required dimensional tolerance and the downstream process that makes it necessary.
Agree a representative run, operating conditions and sample-selection plan with the supplier.
Printed registration should be discussed explicitly. Do not infer that a particular sensing or registration option is included simply because a machine is called a positioning sheeter.
Record the target length and the measured lengths of an agreed set of finished samples using suitable, calibrated measuring equipment. Keep individual readings so that variation and drift remain visible; a batch average alone can conceal outlying sheets. Identify which samples were taken during stable production and which followed a restart or job change.
Agree how squareness and edge condition will be assessed for your product. For a printed job, specify the reference mark and the required relationship between that mark and the cut. Confirm that the proposed configuration supports this test. Record edge damage or stack misalignment separately from dimensional readings so that different issues are not combined into one unexplained accuracy figure.
Attach material identification, machine configuration, speed and sampling conditions to the result. Request evaluation under agreed production conditions rather than treating the best individual sample as a guarantee for every paper grade or speed.
Model and supplied configuration.
Test material and roll identification.
Target sheet size, agreed tolerance and measurement method.
Individual sample results, observed defects and conditions of the run.
Any unresolved deviations, responsible contact and agreed next action.
This is a buyer's evaluation framework, not a machine operating or maintenance procedure. Only trained personnel should run demonstrations or adjust equipment, following the supplied manual and site safety procedures. Do not enter guarded areas or inspect moving cutters to collect measurements.
No single label establishes a performance guarantee. Confirm the complete configuration and the acceptance criteria for your material with the supplier.
Do not assume so. Include materially different grades, coatings or printed requirements in the trial discussion and confirm the limits of the quotation.
Start with the YD1300 / YD1400 specification comparison, then send the roll and finished-sheet requirements. Model selection and any promised tolerance should be confirmed for the actual order.
