When comparing an elevation-type transverse cutter, ask how the finished paper or board will be evaluated under your production conditions. Cutting length, squareness, edge condition and consistency are related but different checks. A useful acceptance record states what was tested and how, rather than relying on a general description such as high precision.
The Yueda FQN1200 / FQN1400 product page provides a model comparison covering cutting width and length, material grammage, stacking height and machine dimensions. This guide helps buyers prepare questions for that equipment range; it does not extend its application to metal, plastic sheet or other materials without a separate suitability review.
Supply the paper or board grade, grammage, surface treatment and relevant material condition.
State the input format and required finished dimensions.
Identify the downstream process, such as printing or packaging conversion, and the dimensional requirements it imposes.
Ask the supplier to confirm the offered configuration and any registration or handling options.
Agree the trial conditions, sample plan and written acceptance criteria.
The term elevation-type is not itself an accuracy specification. Confirm the actual machine arrangement from the model documentation rather than assuming that an elevated frame automatically improves precision.
Compare the measured length of each agreed sample with the target dimension. Retain individual readings and identify the production conditions. Do not substitute a control-panel setting for measurement of the finished sheet.
Review the variation between samples and any change over the agreed run. Record restart or changeover samples separately where relevant. This makes it easier to distinguish stable production from transient results without hiding either.
Agree a method of assessing squareness appropriate to the sheet and downstream process. Document tearing, damaged edges or other visible defects separately from length error. A correctly sized sheet may still fail the buyer's finishing requirement.
Observe the delivered sheets and resulting stack with the supplier during the demonstration. Ask how any skew, alignment issue or inconsistent delivery will be investigated. Printed cut-to-mark requirements need separate confirmation of the proposed sensing and control arrangement; they are not implied by the transverse-cutter name.
A comparable test report identifies the exact model, configuration, material, nominal sheet dimensions, agreed operating conditions, measuring tools and sample results. It should also record visible defects and unresolved deviations. Tests conducted on different materials or at different conditions should not be presented as directly equivalent without explanation.
Agree tolerances and the acceptance method in the purchase specification. This guide deliberately does not supply a universal speed, accuracy figure or permissible deviation: those values must match the actual equipment and customer requirement.
Have trained personnel operate the machine according to its manual and the site's procedures. Take finished samples only at an approved collection point. Keep guards and safety devices in service; do not reach toward moving cutters, rollers or material to diagnose an accuracy issue. Adjustment and maintenance requirements belong in the model-specific instructions, not a generic buying article.
Which FQN model accommodates the required material and sheet dimensions?
What configuration is included, and which features need separate confirmation?
What trial evidence supports the proposed acceptance criteria?
What documentation, training and acceptance support are included in the quotation?
Review the FQN1200 / FQN1400 specifications before preparing your request. The goal is an agreed test and a suitable configuration, not a broad claim that every transverse cutter handles every material.
