ZNFH Lamination Materials: Paper, Film, Foil and Adhesive Trials

The ZNFH1300, ZNFH1400 and ZNFH1500 water glue laminators handle paper, film and foil packaging structures. Their described process includes unwinding, gluing, coating, drying and rewinding. Review the model specifications alongside the project requirements below.

Describe every layer of the construction

Identify the paper grade and grammage, film type and thickness, foil thickness where used, coated or treated surfaces, adhesive product and target finished appearance. Show which sides contact the adhesive and which remain exposed. A label such as packaging film or water glue does not provide enough information to assess a new laminate. Include samples and relevant material technical data.

Check the published range without overstating it

The ZNFH table lists paper at 40–450 g/m², aluminum foil at 0.006–0.01 mm and film at 0.01–0.1 mm. Model paper-width ranges differ and should be checked separately. Meeting these dimensions is only part of the review; it does not establish adhesion, drying, surface quality or suitability for the intended end use. Fabrics and unrelated substrates should not be treated as supported merely because another laminator can process them.

Agree an adhesive and sample review

Use the adhesive supplier technical information and the selected machine configuration to plan the trial. Record material batches, surface condition and required quality checks. Do not infer food-contact suitability, recyclability or an environmental certification from the phrase water-based. Such claims need evidence for the full finished structure and the actual use, not just one component.

Evaluate the laminate after the relevant next step

Agree when and how bonding, appearance, curl and other required properties will be assessed. Where the job involves later printing, cutting or converting, include that stage in the approval plan. Retain the accepted sample and tested construction so substitutions can be reviewed rather than silently assumed equivalent. Send the layer specification, adhesive information, usable width and final application for a focused configuration discussion.
