YD Shaftless Sheeter: Job Documents and Shift Handover Checklist

The YD1300 and YD1400 positioning sheeters convert packaging paper and board from rolls into sheets. Shaftless describes the roll-handling arrangement; it does not mean the whole machine has no mechanical shafts. Review the model specifications alongside the project requirements below.

Identify the material and required output

Prepare the job number, paper grade, grammage, roll batch, width, core details and target sheet dimensions. Include an accepted reference sample and any required print-position information. Confirm that the proposed job falls within the selected model configuration. Do not carry film, foil or other material claims over from general sheeting articles into a paper-and-board job specification.

Use the correct operating authority

Keep the supplied model manual and current approved work instructions available to trained personnel. Readiness, loading, threading, settings and start-up must follow those documents, not an internet checklist. Identify who may authorize production and who handles maintenance or quality concerns. Open issues from the previous shift should be reviewed before they are treated as closed.

Document the sheet-quality result

Use the agreed method to record sheet dimensions, squareness, edge condition, surface appearance and stacking quality where required. Associate rejected samples with the time, job and paper batch. For positioning jobs, retain the relevant printed reference. A record of the observed result is more useful for support than an unverified statement that a particular sensor, drive or knife caused it.

Leave a clear handover

State the accepted quantity, material remaining, location of held sheets, last accepted sample and unresolved follow-up items. Keep any approved instruction revision identifiable. If an unsafe condition is suspected, follow the site stop and escalation procedures; no checklist justifies bypassing a guard or reaching into moving equipment. Use the job record and machine reference when asking Yueda to review a quality issue.
