Build the plan from the supplied manual

A useful maintenance plan begins with the exact model, serial reference, configuration and current manual. Use the manufacturer-defined tasks, intervals, isolation requirements and approved consumables. A general article cannot set a universal daily, weekly or monthly schedule for every installation. Record who is qualified and authorized to perform each task and who may release the equipment back to production.

Keep a consistent service record

For each completed task, record the date, operating-hours reference where available, work-order number, responsible person, approved parts and any unresolved observations. Link the entry to the applicable manual instruction or service recommendation. Keep outstanding issues visible between shifts rather than treating a checked box as proof that a problem has been resolved.

Connect quality changes to job information

When cut length, edge condition, squareness or stacking quality changes, retain the paper grade, grammage, batch, sheet format and accepted sample. Record displayed alarms and the time the change appeared. An output defect alone does not establish a blade, sensor or drive fault. Provide this evidence to authorized maintenance personnel instead of adjusting multiple settings to find a cause.

Agree a safe return-to-production review

If a condition may be unsafe, follow the site stop, isolation and escalation procedures. Do not bypass guards or access moving components for inspection. Repairs, lubrication, blade work and calibration must follow the specific manual and authorized service instructions.
