Gold and Silver Cardboard Lamination: Reporting Quality Issues

YDLM1300B Gold & Silver Card Laminating Machine

When a gold or silver cardboard lamination job shows an unexpected result, a clear support brief is more useful than guessing a machine setting. Yueda's YDLM1300B is listed for gold and silver cardboard and aluminized transfer paper, with wet lamination, film peeling, back coating and drying. This guide explains what to record for a quality investigation; it is not a troubleshooting or adjustment procedure.

Describe what happened, without naming an unproven cause

Record the observed issue in plain terms: where it appears, whether it is continuous or intermittent, and whether it affects the full web or a particular area. Examples of reportable observations include a change in appearance, visible wrinkles or a failed agreed bonding check. Those observations alone do not establish the cause.

Identify the last accepted output and the first affected output, if known. Keep the relevant sample labels and photographs together. Do not reach into operating equipment to collect evidence; use the approved site procedure for safe access and sampling.

Identify the materials and the job

Include the paper grade and batch, film or foil specification, adhesive identity and available supplier information. State the layer structure, web width and intended finished product. Note any change in a material batch, approved job specification or previous maintenance status.

The YDLM1300B product information describes the machine's application and listed parameters. It does not provide a universal recipe for every material combination. Do not infer the correct temperature or pressure from a general product limit.

Preserve the relevant records

Provide the model and serial number, job reference, time of occurrence and any displayed alarm message. Include existing approved setup records and production observations that authorized staff can obtain safely. Describe the sequence of events rather than changing several variables to see what happens.

Keep affected output identifiable under your quality-control procedure so it is not confused with accepted material. Avoid labelling a suspected cause as confirmed until the responsible technical team has reviewed the evidence.

Escalate through the supplied documentation

For an alarm, abnormal machine condition or suspected safety problem, follow the machine manual and site stop, isolation and escalation procedures. Do not bypass guards or interlocks, or attempt cleaning, access or mechanical adjustment on running machinery.

Changes to heat, pressure, speed, adhesive preparation or the machine configuration require the applicable documentation and qualified personnel. This article deliberately gives no adjustment sequence or settings. Ask Yueda which additional observations are needed before any corrective action is agreed.

Agree the quality recheck

After authorized corrective work, the responsible team should define the inspection and release requirements using the agreed material and acceptance method. Retain the corrective-action record with the sample results. A better-looking sample is not by itself proof that every acceptance criterion has been met.
